Resources & Support Toolkit
Recovery is not just about willpower. It is about having the right support system, the right data, and understanding the science of your own brain.
Here is a collection of resources we trust.
🇨🇦 The Heal@Home Program
If you are looking for structured, professional support, an app is rarely enough.
Heal@Home is a complete medical and therapeutic program available across Ontario. We bridge the gap between your family doctor and expensive inpatient rehab.
- Integrated Care: We combine medical prescriptions with ongoing therapy.
- The Sinclair Method: We specialize in this specific protocol to help you retrain your brain.
- Virtual Access: All appointments are private and online.
📚 Essential Reading
We recommend these books to almost every client we see. Understanding why you drink is the first step to stopping.
“The Cure for Alcoholism” by Dr. Roy Eskapa This is the definitive guide to Pharmacological Extinction. It explains the research of Dr. David Sinclair and the clinical trials behind Naltrexone. It is scientific, but it is the most important book you will read on this subject.
“This Naked Mind” by Annie Grace This book focuses on the psychology of drinking. It helps you deconstruct the unconscious beliefs you hold about alcohol. It is excellent for helping you stop feeling deprived when you choose not to drink.
“Atomic Habits” by James Clear Recovery is essentially a habit change. This book explains the “Cue, Routine, Reward” loop. It provides practical strategies for breaking bad habits and building new, healthy ones in their place.
🚨 Emergency & Crisis Support
Heal@Home is an outpatient program. We are not an emergency service.
